Silence on the Olympics’ Closing
Re: The Mission of the Golden Voyager
I, too, am surprised that there was not more outcry about the closing ceremony symbolism. I did not see any criticism in New Zealand media, whereas a lot was said about the opening. Perhaps it was because the closing symbolism was more subtle and more steeped in history, and most modern people know little of such things.

Another Apostasy
Now Francis has decided to drop the BC (Before Christ) for the secular term BCE (Before the Common Era) in all its official documentation in order not to offend the Jews or anyone else.
The term BCE was only introduced in the 1800s by Jewish scholars who did not acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah. It has crept into popular usage with the increased secularism of Western societies and the rejection of any concept of God. Now the Pope bows before the secular world once again, accommodating those who do not acknowledge Christ and hate His Church.

Approval by James Martin, who has been praised and met by Francis, means approval by Francis in my book.
Francis the Merciful? Constantly contradicting the very words of Jesus Christ? And Catholic Doctors, and the natural law / 10 Commandments?
The vast majority are blind, or willfully blind. It is very hard to watch all the destruction everywhere.

My Suggestion of Movies
I read your previous article on recommended movies that you listed at the end of this article. Attached to this email is an 8 part series of St. Teresa of Avila in Spanish with English subtitles.
In addition, a movie of Saint Joseph of Cupertino I stumbled upon on YouTube.
A movie of Pope Pius X.
A movie in Spanish of Saint Martin de Porres.
A Spanish movie of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
A movie of Saint Damien of Molokai.
Lastly, a 1952 movie of Saint Therese of Lisieux.
I thought I would share what I have stumbled across on YouTube. Definitely would like your reviews on these movies, if time allows. Always a pleasure reading your articles daily, as I learn much about the Organic society that flowed from Catholic customs that existed then.

Maccabean Uprising
I recently discovered a traditional Catholic website called Maccabean Uprising.
It has fascinating videos and brochures. The Videos reveal parallells between ancient Israel’s history and Catholic history.
For example, King David prefigures the Emperor Charlemagne. Each created a powerful and unified kingdom.
As you will see, the History of the Catholic Church is Prefigured by the History of Israel in the Old Testament... event for event and in the same chronological order!

O dearest Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy and Life, at this most critical time we entrust the United States of America to your loving care. Most Holy Mother, we beg you to reclaim our history, our culture, and our public life and institutions for the greater glory of your Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Overwhelmed with the burden of our own sins and the sins of our nation, we cry to you from the depths of our hearts and seek refuge in your motherly protection. Look down with mercy upon us and touch the hearts of our people with the grace that flows from Jesus’ one sacrifice on Calvary for the sins of all men throughout history.
Open our minds and hearts to the inherent dignity and worth of human life and to the responsibilities that accompany the freedom we’ve been given as Americans. Liberate us from every falsehood that leads to the evils of abortion, human trafficking, the breakdown of families and culture, and the dissolution of the stable institutions of our society. Let the citizens of this great nation reflect and affirm the principles of the Kingdom of God rather than the values of the partisans of death, immorality, and destruction.
Give our populace the wisdom to elect public leaders of substance and virtue who will proclaim God’s Law as the foundation on which this nation was established, and to witness that He alone is the true Source of our cherished rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. O Merciful Mother, protect our nation from all “evil spirits in high places” (Eph 6:12) and with your supreme spiritual authority, render harmless every attack of the devil who seeks to destroy not only the sovereign welfare of this nation but our very souls.
Draw us, dear Lady, by your grace and beauty, into a new era of American leadership which cherishes and protects the dignity of life, marriage, and family in this great country and around the world. Trusting in your most powerful intercession, hear now the fervent prayers of your children as we say:
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, we fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, our Mother. To thee do we come, before thee we stand, sinful and sorrowful. Dear M.W.,
Thank you for your inquiry. So far, Mr. Patrick Odou has not published any book of his own. He has, however, made the translation of Americanism from French into English.
Americanism was the term used to refer to the modernist movement before St. Pius X coined the name Modernism in his Encyclical Pascendi. Modernism was tested here in the United States under the name of Americanism and then spread to Europe.
This is the first time that this important book by Msgr. Henri Delassus issued in 1899 has been published in our language. You may read or download it here.
