Filipino clergy celebrate St. Valentine
On February 14, 2025, on the initative of Bishop Alberto S. Uy, the Diocese of Tagbilaran in the Philippines promoted a fundraising two-hour concert titled Serenade of Love (Harana sa Kaparian in Tagalog) at the Bohol Cultural Center. The singers and dancers included young, middle aged and senior clergymen, seminarians, nuns – and even Bishop Albert, who sang onstage, sixth row below.
Most of the songs were inappropriate love songs, and many of them were clearly erotic. We highlight two of them where the young and middle aged clergy – above and second row below – perform with sensual movements in synchrony with the lyrics they are singing.
Almost everyone agrees that it is a sad consequence of Vatican II that the seminaries are empty, resulting in an enormous deficiency of priests to assist the faithful. However, this episode in the Philippines shows us that even in a Diocese with a large number of seminarians and clergy, the moral decadence is scandalous.
From top to bottom the entire clergy is contaminated with the spirit of the Council and its adaptation to the modern world. The clergy lead the faithful to a morality that is opposed to Catholic Morals. It is different religion that has almost nothing to do with the Catholic Church.
