Hindu dances at Lourdes
In July 2005 an international Mass was said for pilgrims in the Underground Basilica of St. Pius X in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. During that religious ceremony, instead of the Novus Ordo procession bringing the Offertory gifts, some women performed Hindu Tamil songs and dances, above. Those dances and songs were supposed to symbolize the intentions of those present.
The Hindu Tamil dances, also called Bharatha Natyam, are religious dances inspired by pagan myths and offered to honor false deities, see picture below. Sensual poses and movements are also common in the perfomances.
So, after the desecration of the Fatima Sanctuary with a Hindu ritual and prayers, we have an analogous offense to Our Lady that took place at Lourdes.
