Any forum where religions can come together under the pretext of striving for peace, whether it be in Assisi or at the Vatican itself, should be welcomed as an opportunity to avert misunderstanding which leads to war.

Given the deplorable state of affairs in Iraq (a war begun through religious ignorance and perpetuated by intolerance) you should keep in mind the full effect these ideas can have.

I am troubled by this article because it slanders Mohammed Atta as one of the hijackers on the 9/11 airplanes. If you look up the original passenger manifests, his name is not on their lists. Neither are any names of Arab descent. Some of the accused hijackers are very much alive and suing the US government for slander and libel. Do you know that publishing a deliberate falsehood sets you up for a lawsuit?

As for the accusation that Mr. Bin Laden is involved with the 9/11 attacks, Mr. Bin Laden is a former business partner of the Bush family. Some say that he remains his ties with them through the Carlyle Group. Don't you think it odd that President Bush would accuse a former business associate of a heinous crime without any proof? Particularly since Mr. Bin Laden met with the CIA in the summer of 2001?

Do I need to remind you that the first President Bush was head of the CIA and that once you join the CIA, you never leave it?

There have been some articles stating that another former business partner of the Bush family, Saddam Hussein, was also CIA. Doesn't this look odd to you? It does to me.
