Miraculous Medal, St. Adelaide
& St. Philomena
Tradition In Action:
I liked the commentary by Prof. Oliveira on the Miraculous Medal [click here]because he showed how this apparition was the blow Our Lady chose to give to the Revolution at that time to counter-attack the Rationalism. Also, as he points out:
"It was her way to smash the head of the serpent. The very head of Judaism was smashed by the public witness of an important Jew who affirmed that the Catholic Church is true."
I wonder if this is why you never hear much about this aspect of the great miracle of the conversion of Ratisbonne today? No one teaches how the Ratisbonne brothers repudiated Judaism or emphasizes that the primary purpose of the Religious Order they started was to convert Jews. Now that wouldn't be very good for ecumenism, would it?
Please keep up the good work you are doing.

St. Adelaide
TIA,
This commentary on St. Adelaide, a wonderful saint, was beautiful. Our youngest daughter is Heidi (from Adelaide).
Many thanks! God Bless!

St. Philomena
Dear Mrs. Miller,
What a wonderful site. I really enjoyed it.
I really liked your article on Saint Philomena also. Even though I am named after Saint Philomena, spelled Filomena, I really don't know much about her. But I am learning! She is a great Saint and I am planning on making a shrine at my home for her. I am also looking into the cord for myself.
Mrs. Miller, I am so glad your son is back home safe. Keep up the great work!
Filomena M. P.
