Freemasonry Supports Francis' Prayer for Fraternity
Pope Francis accepted the invitation of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity to take part in a day of prayer on May 14, 2020. In it representatives of all religions gathered to ask God for the end to the coronavirus pandemic. Indeed, in his sermon in the Mass of May 14, he was quite clear about this purpose.
The adhesion of the Head of the Catholic Church to this inter-confessional initiative brings to mind the full support that Spanish Freemasonry gave to Francis' Urbi et Orbi Message urging Universal Fraternity on December 25, 2018.

All the Masons of the World Unite to Join the Pope's Call for 'Fraternity among Persons of Different Religions'
In his Christmas message from the Central Vatican Lodge, Pope Francis has asked for the triumph of universal fraternity among all human beings: "My wish for a Happy Christmas is a wish of fraternity. Fraternity among individuals of every nation and culture. Fraternity among people with different ideas, yet capable of respecting and listening to one another. Fraternity among persons of different religions" the Pontiff assured us in his Urbi et Orbi message.
"Our differences are not a detriment or a danger; they are a source of richness. Just as when an artist prepares to make a mosaic, it is better to have tiles of many colors available, rather than just a few!"
The words of the Pope show how far the present day Church has moved away from the content of Humanum genus (1884), the last great Catholic condemnation against Freemasonry. There, it was affirmed that "as all who offer themselves [to become Masons] are received whatever may be their form of religion, they thereby teach the great error of this age, to wit: religious indifferentism and equality of all cults. This manner of reasoning is calculated to bring about the ruin of all forms of religion, and especially of the Catholic religion, which, as it is the only one that is true, cannot, without great injustice, be regarded as merely equal to other religions."
This path, which at that time was condemned by religious integrism, today is the path that the Sovereign Pontiff of the Catholic Church and Universal Masonry agree upon to propose to Humanity.
There is not a single Freemason on earth who is not united with the Pope and his wish for universal fraternity, heterogeneity in politics, culture, the temporal and the religious.
