Communion ‘kits-to-go’ in Germany
Inspired by restaurants that offer pick-up meals or food-to-go, Jesuit Fr. Holger Adler prepared Communion kits-to-go for the Catholic University community at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, Germany. In response to the Covid-19 outbreak in his country and the stopping of Masses and Sacraments, Fr. Adler sought a solution for Palm Sunday. He prepared packages that students could pick up, with each kit containing a consecrated Host, a palm branch, holy water and a prayer. Above, we see him putting a palm branch in one package along with the consecrated Host.
The Hosts were placed in individual envelopes to be placed inside of each package, see third row below, top left, adorned with a picture of half of a monstrance.
The self-service Communion-to-go is obviously a profanation, which in no way can be justified by any disease or pestilence.
The presupposition behind this crime is the false belief of the Conciliar Church that the health of its priests is more important than the religious assistance they should give to persons who might or might not be contaminated with the virus. It is a position that clearly shows their lack of faith, dedication and courage.
There is no need to say that this initiative was duly approved by the local Diocese and the Jesuit Province.
So, in order to not have their priests exposed to a health danger, the religious authorities allow them to stop saying Masses and administering the Sacraments, especially Holy Communion and Extreme Unction to the dying.
On the contrary, in the past the Catholic Church was always in the front lines taking care of the dying during pestilences that afflicted populations, fourth and fifth rows.
